Shatterproof is an organization that works to develop and transform treatment procedures for addicts in recovery, while also reducing the stigma surrounding addiction. 

They have created a search engine called Treatment Atlas, where those seeking help can search for it by typing the name of a location or facility name. So far, it searches for treatment in 14 states, but their goal is to reach all 50. 

They had a hand in the passing of legislation that ensures insurance companies provide coverage for mental health and substance use disorder. 

Creating an Addiction Stigma Index, they are measuring the change -hopefully a decrease- in addiction stigma over time. This index measures the attitudes of the public in regard to people who struggle with substance abuse.

New Directions Addiction Recovery Services, based in McHenry Country, IL, is an organization that provides resources for those in recovery from substance abuse disorders. 

They have sober living houses, which help with the transition from rehabilitation back into society. These houses have advisors who will help those in recovery build up their resume, pay off court fees, re-obtain their driver's license, and more.
